Netheravon is a village and civil parish situated on the River Avon, about 4 miles (6.4km) north of the town of Amesbury in Wiltshire, UK.

Netheravon was one of two important Saxon estates on the river Avon that were given the name Avon.

The meaning of Avon is "River".
Its origin is "Gaelic/Celtic".

The upper settlement became Upavon and the lower one Netheravon.
